The Integrated Pain Treatment Centre (IPTC) is a unique Canadian medical alliance bringing together a team of health professionals to help individuals to cope with and/or alleviate physical and emotional pain - through the use of empathy, education, holistic treatments and the transformation of mind, body and spiritual relationships.
Many patients today believe that their health care system is too technical, impersonal, remote, and uncaring. The mind-body approach is potentially a corrective to this tendency, a reminder of the importance of human connection that opens up the power of patients acting on their own behalf.
IPTC's objective is to provide a service for those in our community suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain, the emotional pain of chronic/life threatening illness or trauma, relationship difficulties, and the pain of illness itself. It provides this service through the inter-disciplinary practice of family physicians, physiotherapists, movement awareness therapists, kinesiologists, nutritionists, naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, chiropodists, psychologists and psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers - all who are familiar with the mind-body connection. The professionals at The Inegrated Pain Treatment Centre believe in the co-operative integration of complementary and conventional approaches to healing, and in attentively listening to our patients' needs.
Welcome back to a new way of healing.
